LA Fires Pet Resources

Welcome to the LA Fires Pet Resources page. Below, please find a publicly searchable DATABASE (purple) to help reunite lost and found animals impacted by the LA fires, REPORT FORMS (green) to add a lost or found pet to the database, and additional RESOURCES, including disaster preparation tips and volunteer opportunities.

The Save LA Fire Pets database is maintained by a coalition of experienced animal rescue organizations, including Hawai’i Animal Kuleana Alliance (HAKA), ASSERT Disaster Animal Rescue, and Florida Urgent Response (FUR). HAKA is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing animal welfare and providing critical support during crises. Recently, HAKA played a vital role in the Maui wildfire response, coordinating rescues, distributing supplies, and reuniting pets with families, demonstrating a commitment to helping communities and their animals in need.

Note: The LA Fires Pet Database is a comprehensive resource, consolidating data from multiple sources, including regional shelter records, national platforms such as Pawboost and 24PetConnect, social media lost-and-found posts, and submissions through the lost-and-found reports linked below.

LA Fires Lost & Found Pet Searchable Databases

Each searchable database contains animals that are lost or found in the Los Angeles area. To search for your pet you can filter by lost or found, coat colors, and other features. We suggest searching broadly for best success and searching on a desktop, rather than mobile.

If you do not see your pet listed, please complete the lost/found pet report below (green buttons). Your pet will be added to the database, which is publicly searchable and accessible by animal rescuers.
